Food and Drink

    The Real-Food Approach

We understand the importance of good nutrition and the impact this has on children's growth, development, behaviour and educational achievements. We offer plentiful, homemade choices throughout the day, from breakfast club, to snack break and lunch

A choice of at least two hot and cold options is available to children at lunch time, together with a varied and well-stocked salad bar.  A choice of fruit is also available at both snacktime and lunch. Our children enjoy eating together at times of celebration such as match teas, Christmas lunch, Year 8 Common Entrance results and our Jubilee street party for our 60th year.  In the summer our children enjoy impromptu barbecues in our beautiful surroundings, not to mention the odd Teddy Bears' Picnic and the packed lunches enjoyed on trips and visits.

We have even turned the fussiest of children into hearty eaters and accommodate all dietary needs and food allergies.

Pupils are encouraged to develop healthy eating habits.  The meals are nutritious and locally sourced where possible.  Individual dietary needs are provided for well.
