Grandparents' Afternoon on Thursday was perhaps the most heartwarming way to finish off the first installment of the spring term. It was wonderful to welcome so many family members or friends for a performance by the Pre-Prep children, before they showed their visitors their classrooms and beautiful work, and introduced their teachers too!

The children certainly did bring us all sunshine... thank you to everyone that joined us in making such magical moments.

In recent weeks our Year 1 and Year 2 children extended both their literacy skills and their kindness by creating cards and writing beautiful letters inviting residents from local care homes to join our Grandparents’ day celebrations. Yesterday we are delighted to welcome guests from Bramshott Grange Residential Home in Liphook to enjoy an afternoon tea along with some expressive singing, beautifully performed by our Pre-Pre children.

Community, kindness and having a positive social impact is at the very heart of our education at Barrow Hills. We are actively working towards attaining the Social Impact Schools Award’ which will not only help us to highlight the wonderful things our pupils are already doing, but also inspire us develop even more ideas to continue to make a real difference.

Our Year 1 children enjoyed a ‘Castle’ Dress up Day this week and looked incredible in a marvellous array of costumes!

We had knights, a King, princesses, two dragons and even a castle!

The children learnt a dance, made castle pictures using 2D shapes and decorated their own crowns, but the highlight of the day was the banquet lunch!

Imagination and exceptional experiences bring learning to life at Barrow Hills.

Our Bridewell Big Draw 2025 exhibition is open in the Old Piccadilly Gallery at King Edward’s, Witley.

The pupils of Barrow Hills, @keswitley and @longacreschool collaborated to create a vibrant and uplifting display to help brighten up our winter months. Each child has designed a colourful petal, which have been brought together to form a vibrant flower, representing creativity, unity, and marking the shared growth of the Bridewell community since 2024.

🌟These Girls Can… & Do! 🌟

Our girls once again triumphed in sports at a regional level, defeating far larger schools at the Bryanston Tournament last week. How?

+ We are generous with curriculum time and maintain perspective on what truly matters.
+ We set really ambitious standards of attainment for all.
+ We consistently emphasise 'soft skills,' such as collaboration, to nurture team players across all subjects.

Committed, dedicated to their team and incredibly enthusiastic. These girls can… and do!
