Nursery has been exploring the book ‘It was a cold dark night’ by Tim Hopgood, so when we went out into the woods this week, they couldn’t resist building a special home for Ned the hedgehog.
Lovely teamwork Nursery!
The rest of Pre-Prep have been telling me everything they know about Remembrance Sunday. I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge they had collectively, they even knew about the animals that had served. We gathered red leaves and pinecones, and created poppies as a piece of land art.
Kindy children had a very exciting morning in Forest School this week, they discovered the secret race horses and a rainbow flying unicorn, but nobody had their pilots license!
Year 2 were very especially respectful when creating their poppy. They took the time to say thank you as they laid their red leaves, then, later in the lesson I watched, as three girls returned to the poppy and said prayers. It was very moving.
