Year 2 have begun learning about the Ancient Egyptians this term. We have already explored where on a world map Egypt is located, how long ago the Ancient Egyptians were around, the importance of the River Nile and in art we have learnt about death masks.
This week we began to explore the pyramids looking at why, where and how they were built. We began this lesson by using playdoh to create our own pyramids, we talked about the different types of pyramids there are and what is different about each of them. The children then created their own 3D pyramids using a pyramid net, having prepared the paper by writing some informative facts.
Year 2 are becoming great archaeologists this term!
