On Tuesday, Year 3 had an exciting opportunity to go into the school’s flourishing gardens. The children were tasked with picking raspberries and blackberries for our new catering team. These berries were made into a delicious blackberry pie for school lunch on Thursday. This is part of Thomas Franks’ and Barrow Hills’ new commitment to sustainable practice, sourcing local ingredients for the food that we eat. The children had a lot of fun and thought the pie was delicious.
