Our Nursery and Kindy children wrapped up warmly and snug in their coats, hats, gloves and wellies, headed outside into the Pre-Prep garden. They were greeted by a very excited snowman, full of festive cheer. Firstly they enjoyed story time, what else would a snowman read, except ‘The Snowman’ and then they were challenged to find 12 other snowmen, hidden around the grounds. The sound of laughter and cries of “I’ve found another one!” filled the air.
Then suddenly, a hush fell as a jingle of bells was heard… the children waited expectantly as the noise got closer, and then around the corner came Father Christmas! Father Christmas led the children into Forest School where they warmed themselves by the fire and enjoyed s’mores and hot chocolate, before each getting to meet him and receiving a present. According to one small person this was…
“the best day ever!”
Thank you Mrs Wilson, Mr Hatcher and all the Pre-Prep staff and parent helpers for such a wonderful morning.
