The eagerly awaited House Music final took place today in the Chapel. Each House sang one song and one hymn which were chosen by the House Captains.
Kean began with ‘It’s The Hard Knock Life’ from Annie and followed up with ‘Amazing Grace’. Murtough chose ‘My Favourite Things’ from The Sound of Music and the hymn ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’. And finally McCormack sang ‘Who Will Buy?’ from Oliver! and the hymn, ‘Lord of the Dance’.
Five soloists also played and sang beautifully. By the end there was just one point in it, with second and third places a draw and the eventual winner being McCormack.
Thank you to the Music Department for organising this fiercely contested competition!
