This week in Kindy we have been thinking about feelings and emotions through the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. We read the story and talked about how the characters might be feeling at different points in the story. We have named emotions and talked about times when we might have been feeling the same.
We found out that bears like to eat honey so we watched a clip of a mother bear teaching her cub how to forage for honey. We made our own honey sandwiches and took them out into the sunshine for a teddy bears picnic.
Back in the Kindy room we practised our scissor skills and cut out different bears and ordered them by size. We retold the story using puppets and small world figures and there was even some time to create our own stories. Another busy week in Kindy!
