This week saw the start of National Recycling Week in the UK.
We talked about what we recycle at home and why it is important for the planet that we recycle things we throw away. The children shared their tales of experiences; going to the local tip, to recycle items, the friendly men on the recycling truck and of passing down toys and clothes to younger children. It was great to hear all about your compost bins at home, that allow nature to recycle itself, producing compost and lots of wiggly worms!
The children enjoyed a recycling game, where they had to decide if something went in the compost bin or the recycling bin. Don’t be surprised if you get offers of help recycling at home this half term, the children were really good at it!
