Year 1 had super time exploring the contents of a box of artefacts from The Godalming Museum.
I was so impressed with the topic related vocabulary they remembered. They were fascinated to learn about the morse code signal sent by Jack Phillips and were able to have a go themselves.
There were an amazing selection of guesses about the material used to make the life jackets and the children were very surprised to learn that it was in fact cork.
It’s a wonderful way to learn about this fascinating story and there were knowledgeable contributions from all the children. Well done Year 1!
