On Thursday 2nd February, our U8A team participated in their first ever hockey tournament at Cranleigh Prep School and they got off to a flying start with two wins in a row over Cranleigh 2-0 and Brighton College 3-0. However we then faced a very strong team from Handcross who beat us 2-1 and finally we finished with a close game against Edgeborough which also resulted in a loss 1-0.
The girls learnt a lot as the afternoon progressed, meeting the ball, plenty of shots on goal and learning not to get in each others space!
