As part of the exciting transition to Year 3 and Prep, our Year 2 children recently enjoyed two special lunches with Year 3, followed by an afternoon of fun on the ‘adventure’. Blessed with wonderful weather, the children enthusiastically explored all the equipment and enjoyed the opportunity to bond with the Year 3 children. The climbing frame and bucket swing were particularly popular, with many children naming them as their favourites.
For the past six weeks, weekly storytime sessions with Miss Tyrrell in the Thomas More have also been a highlight for the children. They are eagerly anticipating their next visit to the Year 3 and 4 building on Monday for Moving Up Day.
We are delighted to see our Year 2s so engaged and excited about their transition to Year 3!
