Year 2 are continuing their learning about the Ancient Egyptians and have been delving into the process of mummification. They were fascinated to learn how the body was prepared for the mummification process. This included washing the body with wine and River Nile water, removal of organs, drying the body with salt and wrapping it with linen strips.
The children then had a go at wrapping a doll like a mummy and we had a competition for the best wrapped mummy. A super afternoon!
