Gardening Club with Mr Gaszka has begun, with the Year 3 children planting garlic cloves ready for the harvest in late June. They had a wonderful time learning about how to separate the cloves from the bulbs and making sure they planted them the right way up.
Keep an eye out as you drive into the carpark in a few weeks time as they planted quite a few along the side of the science block, as well as starting off lots more in pots ready to plant in the dahlia bed when they have finished flowering.
The children were all sent home with a bulb of garlic each to either cook with or separate and plant in their own gardens.
