As part of their study into the Tudors, Year 4 headed out on a trip to The Weald and Downland Living Museum. The day involved exploring the Tudor houses and their spectacular herb gardens and understanding how families lived so many hundreds of years ago; I think we all definitely felt as if we were moving through history. The children also experienced the various Tudor games played; both outside and within the home. The workings of a Tudor village were brought to life as we visited various workshops, ranging from potters to bakers and blacksmiths. The live filming of ‘The Repair Shop’ also proved a great hit… as were the incredibly confident ducks! A very hot, but inspiring day for all.
