Pre-Prep

It is fantastic to have Pre-Prep buzzing again with the sound of children and a lovely busy feel. Everyone has enjoyed spring walks this week as part of their outdoor classroom learning.

This week, in my assembly with Year 1 and Year 2, I asked everyone to keep an eye out for butterflies this weekend. Particularly the large white, the orange tipped and the white and yellow brimstone which are often seen about this time. The children practised their songs which we will perform to you outside the school before we break up for Easter. These include my personal favourite ‘Spring Chicken’ as well as ‘Caterpillar Crunch’, ‘Find a Little Seed’ and ‘Sing Yourself a Happy Song’. We also discussed how we can make Sunday an extra special day for our mothers; we had some lovely ideas which ranged from writing a poem, emptying the dishwasher to cleaning the whole house!

A request from Year 1 and Year 2 teachers; please would your child wear their school shoes so keeping their trainers as another pair of shoes to wear outside as the weather gets warmer. If school shoes no longer fit then another pair of trainers is sufficient or wellies if need be!

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, please make sure you have signed up for a consultation time for next week. As always, in Nursery and Kindy, Miss John and I are happy to arrange a time to have a chat about your child.

Have a lovely weekend.
