It has been a tiring yet rewarding time for Year 8 this week as they have tackled three days of mock examinations in all ISEB 13+ CE subjects. This is not an easy task, but their form tutors and I have been impressed with the effort they have put into their revision and also their calm and mature approach to the exams themselves. I have tried to keep them going with encouraging words – and chocolate! – but I know they were all very relieved when their final exam finished on Thursday. ISEB had set a few very challenging papers so whatever the outcome, Year 8, remember if you have done your best, you can do no more.
The Year 7 children have risen brilliantly to the challenge of being wet break-time monitors this week so that Year 8 could have a rest – thank you, Year 7! They have also enjoyed War Hammer Club, and the Year 7 girls continue to support the younger children in their Friday lunchtime ‘Newspaper Club’.
The Year 8 girls are off to the IAPS National Final tomorrow – and we wish them lots of luck. Girls, we are so proud of you all!
Best wishes,
Luisa Mason
