Year 2's Science Experiments
This week in Science, Year 2 have been busy exploring forces and magnets! Last week, the children carried out a friction experiment, testing how different surfaces affect how objects move. They worked brilliantly, making predictions, recording results, and discovering which surfaces were smooth, slippery, or rough.
This week, the class moved on to investigating magnets and magnetic fields. The children had lots of fun testing how magnets attract and repel each other. They were fascinated to see the invisible forces at work and enjoyed using different magnets to explore their strengths. It has been a brilliantly hands-on couple of lessons, full of curiosity and great scientific thinking! Well done, Year 2!
