🎵Step into Christmas🎵(with Kindy)

Kindy are stepping into Christmas!

The Kindy children are enjoying Christmas preparations and have loved listening to the story of ‘The Christmas Show’. The book’s theme has complimented the Pre-Prep Nativity beautifully where Kindy were a flock of extremely obedient, tuneful sheep! They looked adorable in their costumes and impressed everyone with their fabulous singing and actions.

A huge well done to all the Kindy children for making their contribution to The Nativity so special – they sat through the whole production and we are so proud of them.

The children have been learning the sound ‘o’. They have played I spy and drawn the sound in their books. Many children painted the sound and noticed it was surprisingly similar to a zero!

The children have explored Christmas themed tuff trays, chipped at Christmas ice blocks to release sparkly pom poms, played with Christmas play dough, added Christmas lights to the string, sung Christmas songs and decorated Christmas jumpers.

They have learnt all about the number 8 this week. They have counted bags of 8 objects and drawn the number 8. They have pegged decorations onto a Christmas tree using their counting and fine motor skills. They have explored shape by wrapping up different sized packages.

What an exciting and joyful week it’s been!
