Year 1 embraced STEM week and took part in a fantastic carousel of activities focusing on forces.
They worked in small groups investigating a range of activities. The famous Countdown Clock was the indicator that time was up and they had to tidy up and move onto their new activity!
The children investigated blowing objects through a straw- which object travelled the furthest and which was the hardest to blow and why? They slid cars and objects down ramps with different surfaces and gradients. They enjoyed making toys move and change shape as well as studying objects to see if they are magnetic or not magnetic.
It was a fantastic afternoon of questions, predictions and team work.
