Head’s WelcomeAt Barrow Hills, childhood feels full and free
Our idyllic woodland grounds give children space to play, climb, run, and imagine. In the classroom, they are both challenged and supported. In every part of school life, they are known and cared for.
Curiosity, compassion, and courage shape our culture. When pupils leave us, they step into their chosen senior schools with strong academic results and often scholarships – but most importantly, with the joy of learning firmly in place.
It’s the journey that matters most – the considered development of critical thinking skills informed by emotional intelligence. We enable progress with a solid knowledge of literature, the sciences, and the world around them. We provide the right tools to ensure pupils apply their education with purpose – whether that is using a paintbrush to create beauty or using our Bridewell AI to synthesise and deepen research.
As a ‘Bridewell Royal Hospital’ school by foundation, we have spent nearly 475 years pursuing our mission: to provide a unique, inclusive, and holistic education that remains deeply relevant to today’s world.
The spirit of Barrow Hills is best seen through its children. Come and meet them and join us for a personal tour – I would love to welcome you.
