Year 1 Castle Dress-Up Day

Year 1 had a Castle Dress up Day this week and the children looked incredible in a marvellous array of costumes!
We had knights, a King, princesses, two dragons and even a castle!
The children learnt a dance, made castle pictures using 2D shapes and decorated their own crowns, but the highlight of the day was the banquet lunch! The children tucked into sausages, bread,
cheese, sausage rolls, chicken, carrots, sandwiches, cake and jelly.  A huge thank you to the Catering Team for all their help making the lunch so special for the children.
We would like to thank Mrs Wilson/Woodland Queen for joining us in the afternoon and helping the children make their crowns, Mrs Reed who worked tirelessly to decorate the classroom (including the door!) and made the room look beautiful, and of course HUGE THANKS must go to the Year 1 parents for their creativity and support in helping the children with their wonderful outfits.
It certainly was a brilliant and action packed day for all!
