Boarding at Barrow Hills

Children in Years 7 and 8 are able to flexi-board during their time at Barrow Hills, offering families greater flexibility while allowing children to experience the fun and independence of life in a boarding house.

Flexi-boarding gives parents the option to book their child to stay overnight at King Edward’s Witley, in Queen Mary House (QMH), either on a regular or occasional basis.

Each boarding evening is carefully structured to provide a warm, supportive and enjoyable experience. After travelling by school mini-bus from Barrow Hills to King Edward’s Witley, children will settle into life at QMH with supper alongside friends, supervised prep, and a variety of engaging evening activities led by dedicated Houseparents.

More than just an overnight stay, flexi-boarding gives children the chance to build confidence, develop independence and become part of a vibrant boarding community – all within a safe and nurturing environment.

We had such a fun time playing cricket and getting involved in all the activities with the other boarders – the atmosphere was amazing! – Josh, Year 7
