Highfield Cross Country Competition 2025

On Friday 14th February, Barrow Hills children participated in a huge 20 school cross country competition held at Highfield. A big thank you to Mrs Goddings for stepping out of retirement to help Mrs Clarke staff this event. Another large thank you to all the parents who took their children to create space on the bus for others in need. Barrow Hills achieved some impressive results with each race consisting of 60-80 runners. Below are those children from Barrow Hills who finished in the top 20.

U8 Girls – 1st Lottie (3G)
U9 Girls – 4th Nuala (4G)
U10 Girls – 1st Sophie (5R)
U11 Girls – 6th Hermione (6G)
U11 Girls – 7th Esme (6R)
U11 Girls – 15th Annabel (6R)
U11 Boys – 4th James (6G)
U11 Boys – 17th Albie (6R)

The U11 Girls achieved 1st place overall in the team competition with Hermione, Esme, Annabel and Lexi all running to achieve a very low score when their results were combined. Incredible work girls and I am delighted to report that all four girls attend cross country club on a Monday so it must be helping!

Well done to all those who ran, Mrs Burnett
