What a treat it was to be back at Barrow Hills watching the Year 5 and 6 production of ‘Matilda’ last Wednesday evening.
After getting stuck in daubing foundation on Year 6 faces and drawing moustaches on the boys, I took my seat and settled down to watch a truly magnificent production of Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book.
From the first scene all the way to the encore, the children’s enthusiasm, energy and enjoyment remained throughout and drove the show at a tremendous pace. Time flew by.
There were some exceptional performances from Year 6 and overall the acting was outstanding along with fantastic singing, superb comic timing and truly amazing ensemble work from both Year groups.
The children gave a memorable performance of which they should all be very proud. They were all simply brilliant and it was immensely enjoyable to watch. What a superb way to spend the evening.
Bravo and thank you Year 5 and 6 for putting on such a wonderful, entertaining and first class show! Enjoy the professional photography here.
