Super Scientists in Year 2

In Year 2, the children have embarked on the exciting topic of ‘Super Scientists’. Each week, the children will be looking at a famous scientist, and carrying out their own experiments.

This week, we have been learning about Isaac Newton, and exploring the effects of gravity. The children made their own paper ‘spinners’ and worked in pairs to test whether the addition of paperclips to their spinners affected the rate at which they fell to ground. They carefully recorded their findings and reached well-thought-out conclusions.
