Reception's First Week

What a fantastic first week it has been in Reception!
The children have settled beautifully into their new classroom and garden, exploring with curiosity and beginning to feel at home in our daily routines.

In the garden, imaginative play has flourished — pies have been baked in the mud kitchen, and tunnels dug with great determination. It’s been a joy to see new friendships forming, as well as the children practising important skills like sharing, taking turns, and working together.

We’ve also been so impressed by the children’s growing independence at lunchtimes, confidently carrying their own plates and helping themselves at the salad bar.

Well done, Reception! You should all feel incredibly proud of yourselves. We’re so excited for the weeks ahead and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you will do.
