Year 1 visit to The Tilford Rural Life Centre
This week Year 1 visited The Tilford Rural Life Centre.
It was such a fantastic day packed with amazing learning opportunities.
The children were able to see Romany caravans, Anderson bomb shelters, prefab homes and a Shepherds Hut.
They loved looking at all the different materials that were used for different purposes in the buildings.
The children wore Victorian clothes and pretended they were school children in the Victorian School Room. Interestingly some of the children enjoyed strict Mrs Crisell!
They were extremely industrious in the Victorian Washroom and washed clothes using a washboard and dolly then hung up the clothes on a line with dolly pegs to dry
They loved looking at the old fashioned fire engine, buses, wagons and even an old fashioned compactor roller.
It was a pleasure to take Year 1 to The Rural Life Centre, they showed tremendous enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the whole day.
Thank you so much to Mrs Reed, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Morris for all their wonderful help on the day.
