Year 2 Greenhouse Adventures
This week, Year 2 enjoyed a green-fingered lesson in the school greenhouse with Mr Gaszka. With the chilly, slightly wet weather outside, the greenhouse proved to be the perfect warm and inviting place for exploring plants up close.
The children were fascinated to learn about the loofah plants, discovering that the sponges we use can actually grow on vines. They also had the chance to observe a variety of cacti and were very excited to see how chilli plants grow. There were lots of curious questions, careful observations, and plenty of enthusiasm as they explored these unique plants.
It was a lovely hands-on session, and we look forward to more greenhouse learning as the term continues!
