DIY Playdough Fun!

Last week our classroom was full of excitement as the children made their very own playdough. There was lots of measuring, pouring, stirring and mixing, with plenty of chatter about how the ingredients looked and felt. Choosing the colours was a big decision and everyone enjoyed sharing their ideas. The kneading was definitely the best part as the children loved using their hands to squash, roll and stretch the dough and were fascinated at how the ingredients changed right in front of them.
Once the playdough was ready the fun really began. The children busied themselves in the role play area, baking biscuits, pies and cupcakes, and working together beautifully. It was a joy to see such happy teamwork, creativity and cooperation as they shared their ideas and imaginations.
