Salvete omnes! (Roman Day with Year 2)

Year 2 stepped back in time on Thursday for an exciting Roman Day. The children immersed themselves in Roman life, choosing their own Roman names and dressing up in wonderful costumes.

The day was packed with hands-on activities, including making delicious Roman biscuits (which were devoured by hungry Romans at breaktime), designing and beginning to paint Roman shields and learning about Roman mosaics before creating their own colourful designs. It was a fantastic day full of creativity, history, and lots of enthusiastic learning.
