Helping Hands in Nursery
This week in Nursery, We’ve been busy being kind, caring and helpful! Our number of the week is 1 and our colour of the week is red, which we’ve been spotting all around us in play and learning.
Our story of the week is ‘Sometimes I feel sunny’ a cheerful and reassuring book all about feelings. The story follows four friends as they experience lots of different emotions, from feeling happy and sunny to feeling a bit scratchy or grumpy. It’s a lovely way to help the children talk about how they feel and to understand that all feelings are ok.
We’ve also loved spending time exploring the outdoors, working together and taking care of our friends. The children have been practicing how to be kind, helpful and gentle, showing wonderful ‘helping hands’ throughout the week.
What a super week of learning, feeling and friendship.
