Barrow Hills Riding Club Gallops into Action!
This Monday, our very first Riding Club session trotted off to a fantastic start at Greenways Stables in Eashing. The sun was shining, the ponies were ready, and it was the perfect afternoon for some pony-packed fun!
Grace, Poppy, Mae and Bessie wasted no time hopping into the saddle. They practised walking and trotting, played games (including the super tricky challenge of picking up a cone while riding!), and even mastered the “round the world” trick - spinning a full 360 degrees in the saddle. Mae impressed us all with her rising trot, too!
The girls also loved meeting their new four-legged friends - Taisy, Charlie, Pepper and Ellie - who were absolute stars. A huge thank you to Sally, Ian and the wonderful team at Greenways Stables for making it such a special afternoon.

Speech Day 2025 brought our school community together to celebrate the achievements of every child - from Pre-Prep to Year 8. We applauded academic excellence, personal growth and the Barrow Hills values lived out every day.
A proud moment saw our Year 8 leavers begin their next chapter, while the symbolic handover of blue jackets welcomed our new Year 7s into Upper Prep. The day ended in true Barrow Hills spirit - with shirt signing, laughter and lasting memories.

Over the past few weeks, the Kindy children have been busy observing the life cycle of a butterfly. We started with tiny caterpillars, the children loved to watch them as they grew bigger and bigger just like in our story of ‘ The Hungry Caterpillar’ and formed their cocoons (chrysalides). The children waited patiently for them to transform into beautiful butterflies. We learnt new vocabulary like chrysalis and metamorphosis and finally got to release them, a perfect way to end a wonderful journey.
