Mini Beasts in Nursery

This week we have been focusing on all things mini beast.
We started the week off with a visit from Backyard Bugs. The worker ants brought in Natcho the tarantula who is a Mexican red knee, Sally the big bird eating tarantula, Fluffy the giant centipede, and Paolo the king snake. There were also death feigning beetles, millipedes, stick insects, hissing cockroaches and a scorpion.
Mrs Dudley decorated the willow dome with spiders and their webs to read some great bug books to the children in the lovely sunshine.
Throughout the week the children have been creating some great art and craft work for our new display in the classroom. These have included dragon flies, butterflies and all sorts of different bugs.
We hope you enjoy your weekend and don’t forget with the weather improving to pack, hats, sun cream and a water bottle.
