A Busy Week for Kindy

Kindy enjoyed another fun packed week of learning opportunities.

The Book of the Week was ‘Stella and the Seagull’, the Maths theme of the week was patterns and the Sound of the Week was a review of j,v,y,w,and th.

The children have continued to enjoy oral blending with Fred Frog. They have watched a wonderful ‘Say a Poem’ called ‘Crab Shells’ which complimented the art for the week.

The sea theme continued this week as the children made fantastic and unique little crabs out of paper plates and pom poms. The children loved choosing their own colours and designs using paint and pom poms.

The highlight of the week was The Teddy Bears’ Picnic. A wonderful morning of enjoyable activities for the children, including parachute games, stories and hide and seek with teddy bears followed by a picnic lunch for the children with their teddies. Our Teddy Bears’ Picnic was a lovely way to celebrate a much-loved tradition. It was greatly enjoyed by all the children and staff.
