Year 1 Make Acorns from Wool

The Year 1 children continued their learning on the changing seasons and Autumn in the Art Studio this week. After looking at acorns and acorn leaves, the children had a go at modelling their own ‘acorns’.

They carefully rolled soft pieces of merino wool and glue between their palms, slowly compacting the wool to form solid acorn shapes. The acorns were then carefully placed in acorn cups, to create a colourful Autumnal display.
