Year 1 Explore Plants in the Sunshine!

It was a joy to see the children returning so happily from their Easter break, and hearing all about their many adventures over the holidays!

We were lucky to have some super weather for our first week back, and took advantage of it to further our learning on our new Science topic, ‘Plants’.

The children took part in a ‘plant hunt’ around the Pre-Prep gardens armed with a ‘spotter guide’, to explore where plants are growing in the immediate school environment.

They took artist boards, paper and pencils outside to carry out observational drawings, before returning to the classroom to complete their paintings.

What a lovely first week back Year 1 – well done!
