Wonderful Woodlands With Nursery
What a fantastic week we have had in Nursery! The children have been busy exploring, discovering and learning through play.
They became little forest explorers, carefully moving logs to see what they could find. There was great excitement when woodlice were discovered, followed by teamwork to build them a cosy home.
The children also helped Mrs Wilson with some tidying and talked about the importance of putting rubbish in the bin and caring for our environment. They made forest soup and used sticks to ‘fish’ for leaves!
Our book of the week has been Peace at Last by Jill Murphy. This provided lots of opportunities to talk about feelings and emotions and consider how the characters might be feeling.
The number of the week has been 5, with the children counting, painting and exploring the number through their everyday play – it has been a wonderfully creative week!
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
