Making Pumpkin Soup With Reception

A big thank you to Freddie’s Great Aunt Barbara for our lovely pumpkin donation this week. The children have had great fun investigating it, talking about its size, shape, weight and colour before scooping out the middle and having a go at cutting it.

We also enjoyed reading Pumpkin Soup, which inspired us to make our very own pumpkin soup. It smelt amazing as it cooked and the children were very excited to have a little taste. Some even came back for seconds! Making the soup also gave us lots of opportunities to practise our fine motor skills as we carefully chopped the vegetables.
