U13 IAPS Girls Hockey

What a tough day for our senior girls. After a very early departure to arrive in Oxford for a 10am start we found ourselves in an incredibly tough draw: Cheam, Lambrook and The Oratory; three schools renowned for high level hockey. We battled hard in all 3 games and conceded 12 goals in 50 minutes of play. That counts as a win in my mind!

After lunch we had a more favourable line up in the plate competition – a quarter final against Hall Grove. We secured a very much needed 1-0 win and our girls were delighted. Next up was Wellington Prep in the semi-final and sadly they beat us 2-0. Our final game of the day was a 3/4th play off vs Cranleigh: sadly this also did not go our way so we made a very good decision to quickly skip off to our bus and stop for ice cream on the way home.

Well played girls – you made me very proud!
