Appreciating The Wonderful Weather With Kindy

The Kindy children absolutely love being outdoors and enjoying the wonderful sunshine and one of their favourite activities is painting the patio with water. They are so happy with a pot of water and a brush which shows how enjoyable the simpler activities are. It was lovely to see some of the children share a water pot with a friend, and we had one artist painting with two brushes!

The book of the week has been Why Elephant has a Trunk, the sound of the week has been ‘t’ and the number of the week has been 2.

We have also enjoyed some harvest themed scarecrow cut and stick activities, as well as hook a duck, colour mixing and teddy bear colour sorting. These have helped us focus on our fine motor skills activities.

The theme of PSHE this week has been ‘kind hands’ and this is very much a theme we explore on a weekly basis with the Kindy children.

On a final note, it is lovely to see our rainforest display bursting with the vibrant colours of tree frogs, parrots, butterflies and snakes!
