What Do Worms Do?

Following on from last week’s activities, looking at how we recycle our waste, I thought we would have a look at a very important recycler, the worm!

We have talked about how having worms in your garden is a good sign that you have healthy soil. Worms do a very important job, recycling the leaves and dirt, turning them into nitrogen rich soil which helps plants to grow well.

We did try singing and dancing to encourage the worms to the surface, but they didn’t want to show themselves!

Please remember to send your child in with weather appropriate clothing.

Thank you
