Year 1: Micro:bit Masters!

For their final Computing lesson of the term, our Year 1 tech-wizards put their block-coding skills to the ultimate test. The children programmed BBC micro:bits to detect motion, coding them to randomly display a symbol for rock, paper, or scissors whenever the device was shaken!

Once the coding was complete, the classroom turned into a digital arena as the children used their programmed devices to play “Rock, Paper, Scissors” against one another.

The progress the children have made this term has been fantastic. We definitely have some future software engineers in our midst! Well done, Year 1.
