Keeping Cool With Kindy

Kindy have had an eventful week with The Pre-Prep Summer Celebration and keeping cool in the heatwave!

Our Book of the Week was ‘Sports Day’ as we prepare for our own event next week!

In Literacy, the children have been focusing on oral blending with Fred Frog and our Maths theme for the week has been counting and recognising numbers to 15.

It has been an extremely hot week for the Kindy children – they have both needed and enjoyed some quiet time listening to stories in the shade and sitting with their feet in cool water!

We had our Summer Celebration on Thursday which was such a delightful occasion and all the children received a beautiful book related to their  topic of ‘The Sea.’ The children have worked so hard to rehearse the songs and remember the actions.

It has been tremendously exciting getting ready for Sports Day and the children have all loved the Book of the Week and have been discussing the importance of taking part, trying their best, and of course enjoying the event.
