Welcome back Nursery & Kindy!
A huge welcome back to all our Nursery and Kindy children!
It has been fantastic to see them all after a long summer break.
We would like to welcome all our new friends to Barrow Hills School. The children had a fantastic morning using their knowledge and understanding of the world. A selection of animals were trapped in giant ice cubes and the children had to work out how to free them!. There were some fantastic suggestions from the children;
“You could smash it!”
“I’m an ice-breaker!”
” I could crush it!” The children whisked, chipped and poured water on the ice cubes.
Some of the children knew that ice melts and therefore the ice cubes would melt.
The children were fascinated and it was a wonderful activity for conversational skills and collaborative group work.
