Waverley District Cross-Country Trials

James and Hermione from Year 7 entered the U13 boys and girls cross country race held at Charterhouse to see if they could finish in the top 6 and qualify for the County Championships in January in Reigate. There were 28 schools competing with 150 runners in each race.

The great news is that both finished 3rd in their races and qualified! Special mention to James who fell over going downhill at speed into the woods and continued running with a bleeding elbow and knee, not once thinking about dropping out. Excellent attitude James, and incredible running both of you, really well done!
