A Revolution of Talent with Year 6
Last term, Year 6 completed a project on the French Revolution. The range and variety of projects produced was impressive. Pupils created videos, posters, miniature models of Marie Antoinette, paintings, drawings, a small theatre scene, newspaper reports, detective-style stories, a musket made of wood and metal, as well as models of La Bastille and guillotines using cardboard, wood, 3D printing and LEGO.
The standard was very high, and all children were given two house points for their hard work. I also awarded some Green Commendations. and a special mention should go to Ellie, who created a wonderful miniature theatre scene depicting the Women’s March on Versailles, and Arran, who produced the largest and most detailed LEGO model I have ever seen. Well done Ellie and Arran – I hope you both enjoy your prize of French pétanque ball sets!
Well done to all of you!
Merci beaucoup
Madame Early
