Making Sculptures With Year 8

Year 8 have been making the most of the lovely weather and getting stuck into carving their own Easter Island-inspired heads from soft, aerated breeze blocks! After researching, sketching and sculpting clay models, they’ve taken their designs outside and brought them to life using saws, rasps and stone chisels. Lots of hard work, creativity and hands-on sculpting in action!

We still have a few more weeks to go until these sculptures are complete, so we’re looking forward to seeing how they develop!
