Forest School Fun with Nursery

We have had a wonderful time exploring the forest this week with Mrs Wilson. The children loved being little explorers, looking carefully at the world around them and even discovering some beech nuts! We talked about how beech nuts are a great source of protein for wildlife and wondered which animals might enjoy finding them.

Our book of the week has been “Guess How Much I Love You” by Sam McBratney. The children have enjoyed joining little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare on their adventures and talking about love, kindness and the special people in their lives.

We have also had lots of fun reaching up high and touching our toes, just like Little Nutbrown Hare does in the story! This has been a lovely way to develop our gross motor skills, balance and coordination while having fun with our favourite book.

It has been another lovely week full of exploring, discovering and sharing special moments together.
