Streeeeeetchy Sounds with Kindy
Shhhhhhhhhh!
It has been another exciting week in Kindy.
The sound of the week is very unusual and it is our very first stretchy sound consisting of special friends ‘s’ and ‘h’ to make the ‘sh’ sound. The children were so excited to learn the ‘sh’ sound using the snake and horse images to form the ‘sh’ sound.
In maths the children have played shape games and completed a cut and stick shape activity.
The Book of Week is The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse. It has been such a lovely book to encourage discussion and observations of the lovely illustrations depicting a town and the countryside.
A highlight of the week was a visit from Mr Coopper, a local beekeeper. The children were fascinated to learn about how he looks after bees. They loved looking at his beekeeper outfit and many of the children tried some delicious honey! Huge thanks to Mr Coopper for coming to visit us.
